Grogo Parental Control App builds better balanced screen time through brain boosting screen breaks. Grogo interrupts the endless scrolling with engaging, grade-level questions across math, science, English, history and pop culture. Enough correct answers unlock access, building self-esteem through education and reward. Parents set break intervals (15–60 minutes), select subjects and which apps to interrupt; dashboards monitor progress. Grogo’s difficulty adjusts to match the child’s proficiency, making screen time fun and enriching. Available on iOS and Android.
Evaluation comments:
“I like how easy this app is to install and to program.”
“This app can help parents support their children’s screentime without watching them all the time and arguing with them.”
“Brain breaks- grade level questions, are a wonderful way to let children know it is time for a break and to earn more time. Parents can still monitor using the dashboard and adjust as needed.”
“This app helps parents provide control on their children’s devices. The program controls what programs the children can use and how much time they can be on their devices. This takes the parent out of the picture in a way, so they do not have to monitor their child scrolling.”
“Installation is simple, done on the child’s device. Parents can decide how often Grogo steps in to let the child know it is time for a break (15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes). The child needs to answer a series of grade appropriate multiple-choice questions to get back in (parents enter their child’s grade level and subjects to focus on such as math, science, history etc.) I like that parents can track their progress on the dashboard.”
“This is a good app for tweens and teens and can help them have healthier device use as well as take parents out of the equation.”
