PUPPY LOVE was inspired by and features the talents of real doggies. For families who love dogs, it’s filled with a lot of fun, songs told from the dog’s perspective, and light shone on the quirky moments that can only come with these most wonderful of creatures. It includes the touching and poignant song, “Rescue” highlighting the gift that comes to both dog and human through the act of pet adoption. A portion of proceeds from the album will be donated to the American Humane Society.

“The award-winning musician Kelli Welli describes her new album as being “made for and with dogs.” However, humans of all ages will find much to enjoy here too. The canine-themed record features songs devoted to some of the things that dogs love: dirty socks, doggy toys, running free, and road trips. There is a tender tune about rescuing a dog as well as a couple songs that touch on the unconditional love shared between dogs and their human families. Welli also includes several tracks that are just doggone fun to listen to, such as “Dogs Doin’ Dishes” and “Dognado”. Another comical tune, “Song About My Dog’s Flatulence,” might need some parental explanations (although maybe the song itself explains flatulence well enough). As a long-time dog owner, I have a natural affection for songs about loving dogs. However, I’m fairly certain too that this pack of tunes will entertain kids and parents even if they don’t have pets at home.”
