Turasa provides a lovely and enjoyable outlet through which kids can express that energy constructively and playfully. Players move a single piece (the Unity Rock) along the board’s path, performing poses found on cards drawn from four different colored decks (River, Ocean, City and Jungle). The fun, adventurous artwork and playfully descriptive poses (Alligator, Butterfly, Superhero Pose,…) stimulate kids’ imaginations while tickling their funny bones, factors that keep them happily engaged throughout the game.
Why we like it: Wonderful story at the beginning of the game that immediately engages participants. The story makes concepts more familiar and easier to grasp. Game board is beautifully designed, using simple, clean shapes and lines. The game is cooperative and encourages physical movement. I love that the cards feature simple to advanced poses with variations on each pose, making the game accessible for people with all abilities.
