A Paw to Hold, inspired by the author’s dog “Rex,” is a sweet story, especially now when so many families are adopting dogs during the COVID-19 pandemic and shutdowns. The author of this book is an animal lover and after losing her golden retriever“Max” in 2018, she brought “Rex” into her life, the most stubborn, loving, mischievous, sweet puppy. From the author: “Besides losing Max, 2018 was a rough year, with one loss after another. I was feeling mad and upset over all the ups and downs life had to offer. But, one thing remained a constant, the affectionate love Rex provided me, his presence was enough to turn a stressful time around. So, I was inspired to write (as I like to do positive things when upset). Rex is 3 now has a companion to play with, Sabrina who is 9 months, they continue making my life happier and hopeful for a brighter future.”
