In a world where financial literacy is rarely taught in schools, BusyKid gives kids hands-on experience at earning, saving, donating, spending and investing real allowance. Available on any mobile device, parents can help teach their kids how to manage money through chores and allowance, in hopes that solid financial habits form that stick with kids through adulthood.
Evaluation comments:
“An educational tool with lots of math skills, budgeting.”
“I like that it teaches children fiscal responsibility. The app allows parents to set up a budget system with their children. Through the app, the parents can pay a weekly allowance, check in on chores (based on ages of the children) being completed and even give “bonuses.””
“I like that it allows children to spend, save and are encouraged to donate to charities.”
“They receive funds using Busy Pay (there is a QR code so family and friends can give gifts). The children receive a debit card and have access to ATMs. There is a savings match that is like 401k. The app has access to charities and investment companies so everything can be done via the app. Parents have control and can lock the safe sharing and spending areas and they can monitor everything that is being done. Notifications are sent to the parents whenever their children’s cards have been used.”
“I really like that the app encourages saving, donating to charities and even spending on a budget.”
“Budgeting is something children need to learn. This is an impressive app.”
