Evaluation comments from our Music Judge:
“Colors are all around Colors All Around. The Portland, OR-based band opens up its latest musical outing with the vibrant, up-tempo title track before flowing into the gorgeous “Every Little Color.” “Rainbow Surfer,” a shimmery hookfest, anchors the center of the seven-song set, while “We’re All Rainbows” is the golden tune at the end of the album. Oh, and preceding “We’re All Rainbows” is the soaring “Sunshine” – because you can’t rainbows without a little sunshine! Actually, Ants Ants Ants’ music might best be described as “sunshine pop” – radiating with lovely harmonies and melodic rock ‘n’ roll that’s swirled with late 60s psychedelica and late 70s power pop. In fact, the Ants’ whimsical “Vegetables” pretty much tops sunshine pop pioneers The Beach Boys’ own quirky tune of the same name. Awash with shiny, strummy songs, this little album will surround you with its big and beautiful sound that will brighten up your day.”
