“Our kit arrived in a little cardboard box filled with recipe cards, shopping lists, regional spices and sauce mixes for the dishes, and some fun extras like a pin of the French flag, stickers, an herb stripper, and info sheets about France. Looks like fun!”
“This kit is packaged nicely. It’s a fun way to teach kids about different countries and to also expand our palate since we love to eat at our house. I’m pleased that the company features authentic French recipes instead of taking the easy, kid-friendly route with French toast or French Fries.”
“It’s great that the box comes with the regional spices you need. The shopping lists are great! They are well organized with check boxes to easily keep track of what to buy. The recipe cards have photos and give clear instructions.”
“This is a great activity to do with kids”
“We love the yummy food! And, also the activity spent doing this together.”
“My initial thought was that this is such an amazing and novel idea.”
“The box we received was from the country of Jamaica. As someone who has been to Jamaica and loves Jamaican cuisine, I was very excited to trial this. My oldest (age 9), has been cooking with me for what feels like forever now. He is currently enrolled in a week of cooking camp, and was also very excited to trial these recipes.”
“The packaging is small and colorful, and fit 5 different herb/spice packets, 5 cardstock colorful pages which include 3 different recipes, and fun facts about Jamaica. The meals and recipes are crafted by a native (famous) chef from that country. Ours was crafted by Chef Andre Fowles.”
“There are very nice knowledge cards that break down learning by category (social studies, mathematics, science, language arts, location, flag, animals, popular dishes, national language, and more), which I love. My kids and I learned a lot from those cards, and helped them to become more invested in cooking Jamaican cuisine.”
“My sons and I made Jerk Chicken with Jamaican Rice & Peas and Coleslaw.”
“Overall, the meal was delicious! There were many ingredients that my kids hadn’t been willing to try before, and were surprisingly open to trying because they had helped prepare it.”
“Both my boys said they liked the cooking part the best. Cooking is such an amazing way to bond with kids and to see something to completion gives them a great feeling of accomplishment.”
“Great idea for family togetherness and bonding!”
