Award-winning children’s book publisher Cuento de Luz announces plans for its newest title, For You, in both English and Spanish. For You is a poetic tribute to parents that follows the journey of one family through the ups and downs of life. While many children’s books focus on appreciation for parents towards their kids, the author, Paula Merlán takes a different approach, and highlights the children’s gratefulness toward their loving parents.
The story of For You is complimented by the colorful, vibrant drawings from award-winning illustrator, Blanca Millán, as she beautifully represents the love, emotion and care children have for their parents.
The Story
For You takes readers through a pleasant, colorful journey of a family of four through different stages of their life. Parents are known to love, teach, help and offer a secure, comfortable shelter for their children. However, children often feel the same way and want to make parents happy. In For You, two children acknowledge their overwhelming appreciation for their own parents to “keep them warm when it’s cold,” “be always ready to lend a hand,” and “to catch them when they fall.”
