Evaluation comments from our Music Judge:
“Are you experienced with the sublime silliness of Randy & Dave? As they have done on their prior three albums together, Randy Sharp and Dave Kinnoin deliver a heaping dose of delightful daffiness on Giggle and Burp Ballet. These masters of musical merriment get things rolling on the opening cut, “Red Jalopy,” a colorful tale about a busted-up old car that is accented with some Beach Boys-inspired harmonies. The duo keeps it in a goofy gear with “Other Than That,” a hilarious bad day ode packed with memorable lines like “I thought a dead bug was a raisin.” The album reaches an apex of amusement on track three: “Cranky Children,” a tongue-in-cheek tribute that facetiously suggests that crabby kids “should get everything they want.” I could go on listing more of the album’s humorous highlights: the wacky wordplay popping out in “Gubble Bum”; the comically twisted logic of “Nobody”; the giggly giddiness surfacing in the title track, and canine fun unleashed in “For A Biscuit” and “Scratch.” Instead, I’ll simply say that you’re guaranteed to get plenty of laughs listening to the Randy & Dave’s expertly crafted kooky tunes.”
