The book repeatedly shows Elmo taking deep breaths to relax. Handwashing (to the ABC song-for 20 seconds), how to wear a mask, getting your temperature taken and social distancing are all depicted in this story. Everything is presented in a developmentally appropriate way and is fun to read. The book also includes tips for adults to help their children understand the importance of wearing a mask and how to talk to them about going back to school during this time.”
“Elmo is a great character because he is very preschool/Kindergarten like. I love the deep breathing exercises he does when he gets nervous about something throughout the book. This is something we do with the children in person and on zoom to help them relax so they can attend to lessons.”
