“I imagine that Patrick Adams has a super active imagination. The type of person who take an idle idea floating through his brain and turn it into a wildly catchy tune. That is the impression I got after listening to this fun 15-track album that overflows with whimsical wordplay set into hooky little ditties. On songs like “Football Bat” and “Puppy Cat” he humorously wonders what it would be like if you combined different people’s favorite sports and pets, respectively. On “Purple Pepperoni Pizza” he ponders what someone obsessed with the color purple might order at a pizzeria. Not all of his wordplay is aimed for punchlines. “Peanut Butterfly” is a sweet tale about rescuing a butterfly, while “Super Fast Sloth” offers the reminder of not underestimating people. Adams also reveals he is far from being the only clever artist in his family. His young daughter came up with the idea for, and takes a central role in, the song “Zombie Ballerina.” Also, parents should note that songs like “Zombie Ballerina” and the album’s rocking opener “Hairless Werewolf” are fairly scareless. The Hairless Werewolf, in fact, declares that his “biggest goal in life is to have some fun.” On the album’s closing track, the anthemic “Imagination Situation,” the award-winning musician/author/podcaster shares that “the power to have fun is inside of me.” It’s a simple but welcome message that we all should remember.”
