Evaluation comments from our NAPPA Awards Music Judge:
“The welcoming, friendly qualities to Ginalina’s folksy family music get introduced right away on her 2018 album’s with opening track, “Welcome to the Neighbourhood,” and gets furthered underscored on tracks like “Two Is More Than One” and the title tune. The ebullient “Everything Changes” encapsulates another of the album’s central themes: change. Seasonal changes are explored on “That Winter Chill” and “Spring Is Here,” while “The Life Cycle (Hop, Hop, Hop)” evocatively explains the stages of pond creatures’ lives. The Canadian singer/songwriter’s award-winning talents are especially showcased on “When I Grow Up,” where she sweetly looks at kids’ dreams for their futures, and the wonderfully poignant “Little Dragon, I Love You,” that has a girl telling her old favorite toy how she still loves and cherishes it even though she no longer plays with it as much as she used to.”
