Evaluation Comments From Our Music Judge:
“Moozika! is the work of Jesse Goldman. New York parents might know of Moozika! as a Brooklyn-based music class for little ones. Now, everyone else can discover Goldman’s original bilingual music on this lively debut offering. In fact, the CD (which clocks in around 30 minutes) is something like a soundtrack for a super fun playgroup music time. Or, perhaps it’s more appropriate to say: “supa” fun – as in the Moozika! tune “Supa Dupa Soup.” That track is one of many entertaining, interactive songs found here. The Spanish counting tune “Uno, Dos, Tres, Cuantro,” the amusing “running” track “Moose on the Loose,” and “Wave Your Scarf” (with its vibrant whirl of world rhythms) are other excellent, exuberant examples of Moozika’s music. While the lovely but restful “Sleep My Child” does slow down the flow a bit three-quarters of the way through, it does give everyone 2 ½ minutes to catch their breaths, and the music picks up steam again on the home stretch powered by a “Roly Poly Train” and the friendly farewell song, “Hasta Luego.”
