“On the Bright Side” is the third release from the Minneapolis kindie band The Bazillions. Very much inspired by Schoolhouse Rock, The Bazillions have fun musically while helping kids pick up bits of interesting information along the way. The songs range from wacky and hopeful songs describing the life of an elementary school age child to songs that explore the intricacies of grammar.
Why we like it: This CD certainly lives up to its titles. The Twin Cities band stocks their album with a dozen bright hooky tunes, which range from entertaining and educational tracks like “Use A Contraction” to more whimsical numbers like “My Teacher’s An Alien.” The favorite song for me, however, is the Beatles-esque number entitled “Favorite Book.”
