“Phineas McBoof Crashes The Symphony” is a musical about the symphony, friendship and purpose for adventurers of all ages. Chart-topping composer and award-winning teacher Doctor Noize joins forces with Grammy-winning stage singers Isabel Leonard and Nathan Gunn, the City Of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, revered jazz saxophonist Anton Schwartz, and the full Doctor Noize voice cast to bring the wonders of the orchestra and the stage to kids and newcomers.
Why we like it: Cory Cullinan, the man behind Doctor Noize (and he’s Phineas McBoof too), doesn’t lack ambition. This CD is a double disc that tells the elaborate tales of Phineas’ latest misadventures. It is full of colorful characters, humorous storytelling and a wide range of musical styles (including opera singers and a philharmonic orchestra). This is one of those CDs that is probably too long to play all at one time, but it can entertain the kids for an entire week of drives to school.
