Are you ready to rock? The Oklahoma City based duo known for sophisticated family-friendly funk will soon release a self-titled new album, their first in four years. With a deeply groovy sound harkening back to the era of boom boxes and break dancing, the mostly original tunes on this self-titled album are designed to get everyone up and moving.
Why we like it: Songs about monster trucks, a grumpopotamus and bunny robots – what more can a kid ask for? The Sugar Free Allstars certainly bring the fun on this CD that is full of funky, rockin’ music. Parents will enjoy the ‘80s flashback of “Breakdancin’,” and don’t skip over the short but sweetly amusing “One Verse Song.” It’s another winning effort from the Sugar Free Allstars.
