“What you will find Under The Tree are ten Christmas (or wintry) tunes that wrap up into a lovely holiday gift. Peasley stocks this cool album mostly with familiar winter-time favorites, like “Jingle Bells,” “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer,” “Santa Claus Is Coming To Town,” and “Frosty The Snowman,” but she instills a joyous spirit in her renditions. There are some nice jazzy undertones, for example, in her takes on “Frosty” and “Rudolph.” Elsewhere, she colors her original tunes, “Under The Tree” and “Ring Your Bells” with a Brill Building vibe, while a nifty 50s-style guitar lick gets “Snowflake” moving. Peasley fans will know that these songs have been available before as downloads, but now they are all bundled together to create a marvelous musical “Winter Wonderland” (which also happens to be the song that closes the album). “
