This first-of-its-kind electric UV Diaper Pail uses hospital grade technology to eliminate odor causing bacteria and germs. Four LED UV lights automatically kill up to 99% of germs – including Staph, E. Coli, and Klebsiella – on the internal surface and opening of the diaper pail every time the lid is closed. Additionally, a patented self-sealing system fights odor by keeping the bag sealed when the lid is open or closed.

“This is the first time I’m seeing a product like this. It has two main features that answer many parent’s diaper pail problems. The first is that they start to smell terrible when after a few days of diaper deposits. Munchkin added a closed system that twists the bag closed when the lid shuts, trapping scents inside. Secondly, the lid has a UV light that sanitizes the internal surfaces each time a diaper has been disposed. You do need a special type of trash bag insert, however the specific product is easy to find and is compatible with a number of other “ring refill” brands.”
