Chicago-based children’s musician Tunes with Tim’s second release, “We’re All Human”, was produced/engineered/mixed by Grammy-nominated Jamie Candiloro (R.E.M., The Eagles, Ryan Adams, Willie Nelson) and mastered by Grammy-winning Scott Hull (Sting, Steely Dan, Dave Matthews, John Mayer). The album, both inspired by and partly written by members of Tim’s family, varies in musical styles including pop/rock/jazz/world/hip-hop and is aimed at creating a refreshing music listening experience the whole family can enjoy together.
Evaluation comments from our NAPPA Award Music Judge:
“Get ready to go on an enjoyable musical ride when you take a listen to Tunes With Tim. The opening tune, “Let’s Get Ready To Go,” gets the album off to an energizing start. I really got a kick out of the second track, “When The Baby’s Sleeping,” which teases you into thinking it’ll be about acting quietly, but winds up swinging back and forth between naptime and dance time. Similarly, the album swings back and forth between up-tempo, educational numbers (like “The Manner Song” and “Rub-A-Dub, We’re In A Tub”) and kookier, jump-around tunes (such as “Ziggy Zaggy Zoo” and “Do The Wigglebutt”). Tim Bredrup (he’s the “Tim”) also serves up some cool variations of familiar songs: his slow-grooved rap “PBJ” smoothly reinvents the classic “Peanut Butter” tune, while “The Train Song” is a fun detour from “Old McDonald.” The title track and the closing number “Sweet Dreams To You” stand out not just because they’re among the CD’s few quiet tunes but also because both are so heartfelt and endearing. This is the second Tunes With Tim release and it’s certainly an album well worth tuning into.”
